Dr. Mary Nwoke, a board-certified Internal Medicine physician and hospitalist with over a decade of experience, is the co-founder of CareCrowd and a passionate advocate for equitable healthcare. She previously founded, operated and successfully exited a home-based primary care practice in Atlanta, HomeCare Medicine of Atlanta. Guided by the principle of “Humanism and Compassion in Medicine,” she established partnerships with major healthcare systems and over 40 senior living communities. The challenges of COVID-19, combined with the rise of AI, have highlighted critical gaps—and opportunities—in healthcare delivery, driving her mission to create compassionate and equitable healthcare experiences for all.

In 2012, Dr. Desai joined the staff of Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital, where he currently serves as the Director of Hospital Medicine. He also works as a Pediatric Hospitalist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. In addition, he mentors other physicians and contributes to optimizing hospital operations as Assistant Professor of Medicine and Distinguished Physician at Emory’s School of Medicine.

Barbara Joy Jones-Parks, DO, is a dual board-certified Family Medicine physician at The Healthy Woman Primary Care practice in Lawrenceville, Georgia. She is proficient in osteopathic manipulative treatment and a sought after on-air medical expert contributor. Along with practicing comprehensive integrative primary care medicine, she is a ‘mama bear’, educator and enjoys motivational speaking.

Dr. Hortensia Valeron-Gomez is a distinguished board certified Psychiatrist with over a decade of dedicated service at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. With 10 years of experience at one of the nation’s premier academic medical centers, she has cultivated expertise in collaborative care, bridging the gap between psychiatry and other medical specialties. Dr. Valeron-Gomez specializes in the intersection of mental and physical health, providing compassionate care to patients navigating complex medical and psychiatric challenges.

Dr. Narciso Gomez is a highly respected and experienced surgeon, renowned for his expertise in general surgery, colorectal surgery, and bariatric surgery. With over two decades of dedicated service to his patients, Dr. Gomez brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to every aspect of his practice.

Dr. Nneka Unachukwu is a board-certified Pediatrician and the founder and CEO of Ivy League Pediatrics outside of Atlanta, Georgia. An advocate for whole child care and wellness, she takes particular interest in childhood obesity and ADHD. After honing her entrepreneurial skills, Dr. Una created the EntreMD business school, podcast, and community to help physicians build personal brands around their expertise, open practices, and develop product lines.
