As part of the CareCrowd Physician Advocate Network, every Physician Advocate agrees to uphold the highest standards of integrity, empathy, and professionalism.

Our mission depends on trust—and trust depends on conduct.

1. The Standard of Advocacy

CareCrowd Physician Advocates represent a new kind of presence in healthcare—physicians who guide, not prescribe; who interpret, not diagnose; who stand beside patients between appointments.

You are expected to:

  • Provide educational and informational guidance—not medical care or treatment.

  • Use your professional judgment to help families understand medical information clearly and accurately.

  • Maintain a tone of calm, empathy, and empowerment in all interactions.

2. Ethical Commitments

Each Physician Advocate must commit to:

  • Confidentiality: Treat all shared information as confidential and secure.

  • Impartiality: Never use advocacy sessions to promote specific hospitals, products, or treatments.

  • Boundaries: Avoid dual relationships or any behavior that could compromise objectivity.

  • Accuracy: Represent qualifications truthfully and provide information consistent with evidence-based standards.

  • Integrity: Notify CareCrowd immediately if any conflict of interest or professional concern arises.

3. Communication Guidelines

To preserve professionalism and consistency, all interactions with Members should occur within the CareCrowd platform or through approved communication channels.

  • Respond to messages within SLA (subscription tier dependent).

  • Avoid sharing personal contact information or unverified health content.

  • Document key discussions and next steps clearly in the advocacy summary after each session.

4. Relationship to CareCrowd and to Medicine

  • Physician Advocates are independent contractors, not employees of CareCrowd.

  • Advocacy is not clinical care and does not create a doctor–patient relationship.

  • Any health decision must be deferred to the Member’s treating clinician.

  • CareCrowd may monitor anonymized interactions to ensure quality and compliance.

5. Professional Development and Feedback

CareCrowd is building a culture of learning and reflection. Physician Advocates agree to:

  • Participate in ongoing quality sessions or peer discussions when invited.

  • Accept constructive feedback from Members and CareCrowd staff.

  • Report adverse events, ethical concerns, or user safety issues promptly.

6. Violations and Enforcement

Breaches of this Conduct Code may result in:

  • Written warnings or retraining,

  • Temporary suspension from the platform, or

  • Termination of the independent contractor agreement.

Severe or repeated violations may be reported to relevant medical boards or authorities.

7. Shared Purpose

We’re not just closing the Presence Gap—we’re building a movement.

Every CareCrowd Physician Advocate is both a guide and a guardian of trust.

Your presence defines what this profession can become.
